Vinnie Hines
THE OFFICIAL HOMEPAGE OF VINNIE HINES
SINGER/SONGWRITER - ENTREPRENEUR
Vinnie Hines is an American performer, entrepreneur, and live entertainment professional whose career has spanned more than 2,000 performances across over a dozen countries. Known for his groove-driven acoustic looping, soulful vocals, and crowd-focused performance style he calls “Rock & Soul,” Vinnie blends live music, storytelling, humor, and atmosphere into experiences designed to feel personal, energetic, and memorable.
Raised in Central Illinois, Vinnie’s musical foundation was shaped early by a mix of Classic Rock, soul, and R&B. Long country drives soundtracked by Foreigner, Styx, Steve Miller Band, and Bon Jovi were balanced at home by artists like Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye, Michael McDonald, The Temptations, and Ray Charles. As his influences expanded through artists like Bill Withers, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Arctic Monkeys, Hozier, and The Beatles, Vinnie developed a flexible performance style capable of moving naturally between genres, generations, and moods.
What began with busking on the streets of St. Louis eventually evolved into an international entertainment career that included performances aboard Carnival Cruise Line, extended periods living and working in Memphis, Chicago, and New York, and earning a Golden Ticket on American Idol XV. Along the way, Vinnie immersed himself not only in performing, but in every layer of the music business itself.
Over the years, he has worked as a performer, bandleader, sideman, coach, booking agent, production lead, consultant, and operator — managing logistics, negotiating contracts, advancing shows, leading teams, and building systems both onstage and behind the scenes. That experience shaped a broader entrepreneurial mindset centered around hospitality, atmosphere, and operational excellence.
In 2025, Vinnie returned to his roots with the purchase of Spirito’s Italian Grocery in Collinsville, Illinois, transforming the beloved neighborhood institution into a disciplined, systems-driven business focused on quality, community, and long-term brand growth. The move marked a defining shift from artist-for-hire to owner-operator.
In 2026, Vinnie expanded his footprint in entertainment once again by co-founding Grand Central Music Rentals in St. Petersburg, Florida alongside his partner, vocalist, DJ, and creative collaborator Chrystalline Gold. Together, they built a creative hub for live music, DJs, content creation, rehearsals, events, production, and private experiences designed to serve both artists and clients at a high level. The two also perform together as the acoustic duo Golden Hour, known for layered harmonies, male/female duet arrangements, and a warm, crowd-friendly blend of country, classic rock, yacht rock, and nostalgic singalong favorites.
Today, Vinnie’s work sits at the intersection of music, hospitality, entrepreneurship, and community. Whether performing at weddings and corporate events, developing creative experiences through Grand Central Music Rentals, or continuing to evolve Spirito’s Italian Grocery, his focus remains the same: creating soulful experiences that bring people together through music, atmosphere, creativity, and genuine connection.
“The perfect mix of professionalism, artistry, guitar playing and singing excellence.” — Bob E.
